Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week is next week! There are events to show gratitude to our teachers and staff planned every day, and there are a number of opportunities for parent and student contributions. For parent volunteer opportunities, please see this sign up.
Students and families are encouraged to post thanks for teachers and staff on electronic boards that will be delivered first thing the morning of Friday, May 8th. We’d love all families to post for your grade level at these links!

Many families choose to send in individual tokens of appreciation. We maintain a Teacher Favorite Things spreadsheet for families who enjoy that opportunity.

Parent Coffee Chat Series: Volunteer Appreciation
The May Coffee Chat is on Friday, May 8th at 8 AM in the WPS cafeteria. Have you volunteered time for any activity, event, or program? Have you been the kid chauffeur, lunch-packer, chaperone, or schedule-tracker? A lot goes into supporting our students, and this last coffee of the year is devoted to thanking YOU – all of the parents and guardians who help support our students, faculty, and staff. Please come join us for a celebration of you!

Parent Ambassadors
Every year, parents from Willows email incoming families to welcome them and answer their questions. An email template is provided; you just personalize it and hit send! If you would are able to welcome students by sending a few emails, please see this sign up!
Popcorn Wednesdays!
Popcorn Wednesdays continue through the end of the year! Parents are able to purchase a 10-bags-for-$10 slot for their student to receive popcorn after school, if desired. Day of sales are $2/bag, so pre-purchasing the slot is a 50% savings!

Family Association May Executive Meeting
Our may Executive Meeting will be on Thursday, May 7th at 8 AM in the WPS conference room. All parents are welcome for a discussion of budget and upcoming events!
Family Association May General Meeting
Our final General Meeting of the year will be Thursday, May 14th at 6 PM, online only. Our May meeting features updates on budget and activities, as well as voting for next year’s executive board and approval of a proposed budget. Eat Out Night: Heritage Restaurant in Woodinville!
Tuesday May 12th is our final eat out night of the year at the beloved Heritage Restaurant in Woodinville. Mention Willows Prep when you eat in or dine out, and they will give 20% of the sales back to the Family Association! Have some amazing food (do not miss the Jar of Pie on the dessert menu) and support our school activities!
