October Month of Giving
The October Month of Giving is here, and we have already raised over $2200 of our goal in the first week! The Family Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and all donations to us are tax-deductible and eligible for corporate matching. Our mission is to provide More and Better to the Willows Prep community, and contributions from our parents are essential for making this happen. We spend thousands of dollars each month on student events, teacher appreciation, and projects such as ceramics, theater sound improvements, and more! October Coffee Chat
Join us at 8 AM on Friday, October 16th in the WPS cafeteria for our October coffee! From 8-8:45, Dr. Mary Ewart will be discussing the scope and sequence of the math curriculum at Willows for 5th-12th grades. After her talk and opportunity for questions, the Family Association will give updates and discuss volunteer opportunities from 8:45-9:30. See you there!
Diwali Cultural Celebration
Our first parent-sponsored cultural celebration of the year is Diwali! This year’s celebration is set for Friday, November 6th. Parent volunteers are in charge of organizing the event, including any food, decorations, and other celebratory aspects. Please email Samantha at events@willowsprepfamily.org if you are interested in leading or participating in this year’s event!
Popcorn Wednesdays
On Wednesdays, parents volunteer to make popcorn that can be purchased as a fun snack after school on Wednesdays. You can purchase a 10 bags for $10 popcorn pass for your student here; day-of purchases are $2/bag, cash only, so pre-purchasing is a big savings.

Family Association General Meeting
Three times per year, we hold a General Meeting to update parents on the status of our accounts; fundraising; activities; volunteering; and future plans. Included in the meetings is a brief update from Mr. Stearns, our Head of School. Our first General Meeting of the year will be held on Thursday, October 15th at 6 PM on Teams.
