Requirements of Role:
- Active member of the Family Association Board.
- Serve as a link between the Family Association and the School.
- Keep accurate and detailed accounts of all funds received and disbursed.
- Co-chair budget planning for the following school year.
- Present current budget tracking and proposed budget at general meetings of the FA.
- Track donations.
- Ensure yearly tax filings to maintain compliance and non-profit status.
- Manage expense reimbursements to parents and staff.
- Ensure transition of bank signers before end of fiscal year.
- Pay bills and reimbursement requests promptly.
- Provide donor tax receipts
As Desired:
- Lead a committee.
Skills:
- Organization
- Comfortable with document management.
- Ability to manage volunteers effectively.
- Experience with general accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Quickbooks or other accounting software.
Time Commitment:
- Base tasks 2-5 hours/week.
- Additional commitments 8-12 hours/month.
